Cookies and Advertising

This disclosure explains cookies, local storage, third-party technical services, and sponsored advertising used in the VIVEX app, vivexapp.com, and vivexevent.com (collectively, “VIVEX”), operated by VIVEX EVENT, Inc. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. Cookies and on-device storage. We use cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described below. We do not intentionally use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, or personal-information sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information.

Essential	Authentication, secure sessions, fraud prevention, and checkout security.	Required for the corresponding features; blocking them may prevent the service from functioning.
Functional	Preferences, saved events, ARIA chat stored locally on your device, age confirmations, ad-reward eligibility and recent-ad rotation.	Clear browser/app data or adjust available device settings; this may reset preferences or sign you out.
Service and infrastructure	Hosting, page content, images, fonts, maps, location-to-town display, security, and basic traffic measurement. Providers may receive IP address, device/browser information, and technical request data.	Some requests are necessary to deliver the feature; device/browser controls may limit others.

Clearing local data may remove ARIA chat history from that device and sign you out, but does not by itself delete eligible rewards recorded in your VIVEX account. Disabling device location permissions may make nearby-event, sponsor-area, and Spark features unavailable. Refer to the Privacy Policy for location use, retention, and account deletion.

2. Third-party services and privacy controls. When you load third-party maps, payment checkout pages, fonts, or other externally hosted resources, those providers may process technical information under their own policies. Card payments take place through our payment processor. Google Maps features are subject to Google’s privacy practices. We review providers and configure them for the functions described here; these providers may set their own cookies or use technical identifiers under their own policies.

You may use browser controls to block or clear cookies and device settings to control location permissions. Where legally required for any nonessential tracking technologies we later introduce, we will provide the necessary notice, choice, and consent or opt-out mechanism before deploying them. We will honor applicable legally recognized opt-out preference signals when required; because we do not sell or share data for targeted advertising, those signals do not require a change to that practice.

3. How sponsored advertising works.

• Sponsored videos, flyers, event sponsorships, and sponsor placements are clearly identified as advertising, using labels such as “Sponsored” and “Paid for by” where appropriate. Material connections and endorsements must be disclosed as applicable law requires.
• Sponsors shown below ARIA responses are managed by AVRIO ONE, Inc., a separate company, and may be selected by broad geographic area (such as city, county, state, or nationwide). ARIA answers are not purchased or rewritten by advertisers; paid placements appear separately from answers.
• We do not intentionally create cross-site interest profiles for advertising. Advertisers receive aggregate campaign reporting, such as views, reward completions, and link taps, rather than individual names, email addresses, or precise location. If a user chooses to visit an advertiser’s website, that advertiser may collect information directly under its own practices.
• AX8 rewards for viewing or engaging with ads are subject to the AX8 Rewards Terms, eligibility rules, fraud controls, and applicable law. Receiving a reward does not mean the user endorses the sponsor, and displaying an ad does not mean VIVEX endorses the advertiser.
• Ads or rewards restricted to ages 21 and older require age confirmation and any additional legally required verification. Users must not misrepresent their age. Advertising for regulated products or services may be subject to additional location, age, platform, and legal restrictions.

4. Updates and contact. We may update this disclosure when our technologies, advertising practices, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated as described in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
